Colombo launches a series of events celebrating the authentic soul of the Valle Bormida

Colombo opens the doors of its winery in Bubbio, in the Valle Bormida, with a rich and diverse calendar of events combining tastings, storytelling, food and wine culture, and the history of the Piedmont region.

Between spring and summer, the program begins with four events – lunches and dinners – designed to offer guests authentic sensory and cultural experiences, deeply rooted in the traditions of this area of the Alta Langa in the Asti province.

Each event stems from the belief that wine is much more than a beverage: it is storytelling, landscape, and memory. Serving as a common thread are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the winery’s signature grape varieties, presented in different contexts each time: from literature to educational sessions on oak aging, from local cheese excellence to Savoy history.

Andrea Colombo, owner of the winery, explains:
“We have created a series of events that places the Valle Bormida, our wines, and the region’s excellence at the center. Each appointment is designed to be a moment of discovery as well: special guests will guide the audience through a sensory and cultural journey, where the pleasure of the table becomes a key to understanding an extraordinary territory.”

Events Calendar

Sunday, April 12, 2026 – 12:00 PM – ZELDA GOURMET – LITERARY EXPERIENCE
A gastronomic and cultural experience guided by two great readers: Annalisa Righini and Marinella Brizza
The “Degustazioni Letterarie” format, created by Righini and Brizza, offers small tastings of literature, just as wine is tasted in a cellar. The event takes the form of an imaginary interview with a character, an original way to tell stories, emotions, and visions. Through the voices of Annalisa Righini and Marinella Brizza, the figure of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald comes to life — an extraordinary woman, also portrayed through her passion for wine.

The show cooking will be curated by chef Mattia Astengo.

Friday, May 8, 2026 – 7:30 PM – Beyond the Horizon: Roccaverano DOP meets Alta Langa DOCG

Educational Dinner “Roccaverano DOP Menu” in collaboration with Rob-In
The event begins with a tasting of products connected to Rob-In (a project promoting local products and territory led by the Consorzio di Tutela del formaggio Roccaverano DOP), accompanied by a welcome glass, followed by dinner. An evening dedicated to Roccaverano DOP, celebrating its deep connection with the land and rural life: goats, their relationship with humans, pastures, blooming fields, and the cheesemaker’s craft, presented with a talk by Gaia Lando.
A gastronomic journey guided by sommeliers Laura Perrone and Marco Cavallotto. Each dish highlights the bond with the territory through flavors and aging processes that enhance milk and cheese, turning the tasting into an educational and engaging experience paired with Alta Langa DOCG wines.

The show cooking will be curated by chef Mattia Astengo.

Friday, June 12, 2026 – 7:30 PM – The Time of Wood: an evolutionary journey of wine through oak aging
Educational Dinner on oak aging – with sommeliers Laura Perrone and Marco Cavallotto
An educational tasting set between the barrel room and the tasting hall: a journey into the world of oak-aged wines, with a particular focus on Pinot Noir, different types of barrels, and the history of aging. Accompanied by a carefully designed menu, the evening offers guests the tools to understand and recognize how wood shapes the personality of a great wine.

The show cooking will be curated by chef Mattia Astengo.
